Purple Dome Aster (Symphyotrichum novae-angliae 'Purple Dome') is a compact, mounded herbaceous perennial, prized for covering itself in deep purple, yellow-centered flowers from late summer to fall. Reaching only 18-24 inches tall and wide, this cultivar is ideal for borders and attracts pollinators. It is a low-maintenance plant that thrives in full sun, rich, moist, well-drained soil, and is hardy in zones 3–8.
