Cherry-Go-Round™ Hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla'Hokomaburlac') is a compact, repeat-blooming shrub known for intense, dark red mophead flowers that last from late spring through fall. Growing 2–3 feet tall and wide, it is ideal for small gardens, containers, and borders, thriving in zones 5-9 with partial sun.

Key Features and Care:

  • Blooms: Features 8-inch, deep cherry-red mophead blooms that darken as they age. It blooms on both old and new wood, ensuring a long season of color.
  • Size & Habit: A dense, mounded, and compact shrub (2-3 ft. x 2-3 ft.).
  • Light Requirements: Thrives in partial shade to full sun, specifically preferring morning sun and afternoon shade in hotter climates.
  • Soil & Water: Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Acidic soil enhances the red color.
  • Maintenance: Low maintenance, requires little pruning, but should be pruned just to remove dead or faded blooms.
  • Versatility: Excellent for containers, mass plantings, and cut flowers (fresh or dried).
  • Hardiness: Hardy in USDA Zones 5-9.
