Heuchera 'Obsidian' (Coral Bells) is a popular, low-maintenance herbaceous perennial celebrated for its intense, glossy, dark burgundy-to-black foliage that remains deep in color all season. It forms a compact mound about 12 inches tall and 16 inches wide, with creamy white flowers on 24-inch scapes in early summer. 
Key Characteristics and Care:
Foliage: Deep purple/black, glossy, rounded, and crinkled leaves.
Flowers: Dainty spikes of creamy white flowers in late spring/early summer.
Light: Thrives in full sun to partial shade; color is best with some morning sun but needs protection from harsh afternoon heat.
Water/Soil: Requires moist, well-drained soil rich in organic matter.
Hardiness: Zones 4-9.
Usage: Excellent for borders, mass planting, rock gardens, and container "thriller" plants.
Wildlife: Attracts hummingbirds and pollinators.
