Heuchera 'Lemon Love' is a vigorous, heat- and humidity-tolerant perennial featuring bright, ruffled chartreuse-yellow foliage that resists sun scorch. Ideal for shade to part-shade gardens, it grows 10-14 inches tall and spreads up to 3 feet wide, producing creamy white flowers in early summer.

Key Characteristics:

  • Foliage: Ruffled, chartreuse to lime-green foliage; vibrant yellow in partial shade, more lime-green in deep shade.
  • Flowers: Creamy white with hints of blush on tall, airy stalks in early summer.
  • Size: Forms a dense, vigorous mound about 10–14" tall and 28–36" wide.
  • Hardiness: Zones 4–9.
  • Usage: Excellent for shade gardens, container planting, borders, and as groundcover.

Care and Maintenance:

  • Light: Prefers part shade, but thrives in full shade and can handle more sun than other yellow cultivars.
  • Soil: Requires well-drained, organically rich soil.
  • Water: Moderate, consistent moisture is necessary, especially when established.
  • Maintenance: Low-maintenance. Remove old, winter-damaged leaves in early spring and deadhead spent flower stalks.
  • Resistance: Deer and rabbit-resistant.

'Lemon Love' is a Heuchera villosa hybrid, making it exceptionally tough against summer heat and humidity, unlike many other yellow-leaved coral bells. It is generally considered a short-lived perennial, often lasting 5-7 years before needing division.
