#1.5 Gallon

Concord Seedless grapes offer the classic, intense, sweet-tart "foxy" flavor of traditional Concord grapes without the seeds. These vigorous, self-fertile, blue-black grapes are perfect for fresh eating, jams, jellies, and juice, ripening about one week earlier than standard Concord varieties. They are easy to grow, cold-hardy, and thrive in full sun.

Key Characteristics and Growth Information

  • Flavor & Texture: Sweet, aromatic, and juicy with a "slip-skin" (skin separates easily from the fruit). They are generally smaller than seeded Concord grapes.
  • Vine Habits: Extremely vigorous, woody, and climbing vines that require a support structure like a fence, trellis, or arbor.
  • Harvest Time: Typically ripens in mid-to-late fall, usually one week earlier than the seeded Concord.
  • Hardiness & Soil: Tolerant of cold, suitable for USDA Zones 5-9. They prefer well-drained, fertile soil.
  • Pollination: Self-pollinating, though yield can improve with other vines nearby.
  • Uses: Excellent for fresh snacking, preserves, pies, and wine-making.

Planting and Care Tips

  • Sunlight: Requires full sun for optimal sweetness.
  • Spacing: Plant vines 6–8 feet apart.
  • Maintenance: Requires annual, consistent pruning to maximize fruit production.
  • Watering: Needs deep, regular watering during the first year for establishment, with moderate watering thereafter.
  • Disease Resistance: Generally hardy and disease-resistant, making them ideal for home gardeners.
